N 班、K1 面試前要準備咩？由前 1–2 星期到當日，一張紙睇晒。列印出嚟，做完一樣剔一樣。What to do before a Hong Kong kindergarten interview, from two weeks before to the day itself. Print it and tick as you go.
面試前 1–2 星期1–2 weeks before
- 當遊戲咁練「你叫咩名？今年幾多歲？」：答全名，用手指講歲數Play "What's your name? How old are you?": full name, age on the fingers 點解？Why?
- 日常問顏色、形狀、大細：「架巴士咩色呀？」「邊架車大啲？」Ask colours, shapes and sizes in daily life: "What colour is the bus?" "Which car is bigger?" 點解？Why?
- 練「到你、到我」輪流玩，借完玩具講多謝Take turns ("your turn, my turn") and say thank you after borrowing a toy 點解？Why?
- 多俾機會自己做：自己拎杯飲水、玩完收拾、想去廁所識講Let them do it themselves: drink from a cup, tidy up, say "I need the toilet" 點解？Why?
- 同另一半傾吓點形容 BB：講法一致，用一兩件真實小事Agree with your partner how you'd describe your child, with one or two real stories 點解？Why?
- 方便的話，帶 BB 去學校附近行吓，順便計交通時間If you can, walk past the school together and time the journey 點解？Why?
- 用故事書預演流程：出門口 → 打招呼 → 自我介紹 → 玩遊戲 → 講拜拜Rehearse with a story book: leave home → say hello → introduce yourself → play → say bye-bye 點解？Why?
面試前一晚The night before
- 早啲瞓，唔好臨急臨忙操練An early night, no last-minute drilling 點解？Why?
- 執好袋：水、紙巾、濕紙巾、一套後備衫Pack water, tissues, wet wipes and a spare set of clothes 點解？Why?
- 帶一本細書或者小玩具，等候時用A small book or toy for the waiting area 點解？Why?
- 揀佢著慣、舒服、整齊嘅衫；唔好著新鞋（易磨腳）Clothes they're used to, comfortable and neat; no new shoes (they rub) 點解？Why?
面試當日On the day
- 早少少到，先去埋洗手間Arrive a little early and visit the toilet first 點解？Why?
- 等候時一齊睇書、講吓周圍見到咩While waiting, read together and talk about what you see 點解？Why?
- 唔好不停提「要乖呀、要答呀」Don't keep reminding them to "be good" and "answer" 點解？Why?
- 答唔出都唔緊要，老師見慣，最緊要佢唔驚Not answering is fine: teachers see it every day; what matters is that they aren't scared 點解？Why?
- 喊咗：先抱佢、安撫佢，唔好當場鬧或者催If they cry: hug and calm them, never scold or rush them 點解？Why?
- 完咗之後讚佢：「你今日好勇敢！」Afterwards, praise them: "You were so brave today!" 點解？Why?
